The "real" crazy's are those who seek a surgery without checking it out and then get worse for it!
Even crazier are those who lie to others to help them secure these surgeries!
Keeping Dirty little secrets from those so desperate and vulnerable.
Shame on you all.
Are you willing to get worse off than you are now because you feel some sense of loyalty to someone you met over the internet?! Now that's insane.

I agree with anonymous... in my opinion you are nuts... get a life. I know the doctor in question and I have checked on him... he has done absolutely nothing wrong and is the most compasionate and intelligent doctor I know. It only makes sense that he wouldn't reply because it would be a total waste of his time and I don't blame him a bit.
I agree with the previous comments. I am angry to see this site being used as a forum for malicious attacks and innuendo. I know nothing about the doctor concerned and have no agenda in posting this comment. I believe that you have not only lost the plot but that you have lost all credibility.

As to your anger with the way we use the IHRT web site, well, you will have one of three choices, "Get over it, Accept it or be Angry," all of which will not affect the way we will use this web site to confront those who pose threats to the innocent victims of ARD.
When one is confronting the lowest of the low, and total dishonesty, one must use up front and in your face methods...but of most importance is that all we really do is tell it like it is, and usually not our words at all, but the words as spoken by the perpetrators.
To quote President Eisenhower, " I didn't give 'em hell, I told the truth and it felt like hell!"
Like when I confronted how your using the innocent and poor to fill your pockets with money to run your web site! Shame on you for that, Jo, simply shame, shame on you! Your having fund raising dinners at $80.00 a plate, and knowing how difficult it is for victims of ARD to pay for medical intervention as it is, you come along and ask for thier money to support your dysfunctions!
Anger away dear, as this IS what your going to get when you come to IHRT! Why did you spend so many hours going through this web site if you do not agree with it's agenda? "Innuendos?" Not in this web site dear, we come right out and say it like it is, no need for inuendos, if you haven't noticed! (Like I am doing now.)
Find this site "malicious" and "attacking?" Not for those who do good for the victims of ARD it isn't, have you noticed THAT?
"Credibility?" Our credibility comes with the validations we use to expose those who choose to be dishonest and/or pose threats to innocent victims of ARD! Dr. Richard E. Schlanger, OSU, in my opinion, fits this catagory VERY much, and that opinion is just based on his own claims as I do not know this man personaly either. ( Though I have traveled extensively within the International ARD arena and have NEVER once heard his name!) My issues with him are based on my knowledge of his surgical intervention on some of his patients as well as on his own claims of using "special solutions"
"powdered adhesion barriers" (that have been proven not to exist) and claiming to be doing "semi-clinical-studies" on adhesion patients without their knowledge and without any FDA authorizations to perform a study (and by the way, this is a good time to point out that there is no such a thing as "semi-clinical studies!!")
Jo, treat persons afflicted with ARD in responsible and respectful ways and you will not have to be "targeted" by IHRT, and let this visit to IHRT speak to you of what your life WILL be like if you dare to take advantage of ARD victims!
Nuts are we for not letting people like you and Schlanger get away with your crap and daring to expose you when you try to get away with it! NO MORE SECRETS in the world of ARD!

I am a 61 year old woman who lives in Australia. I have suffered from ARD for over 30 years. I regularly visit all the adhesion support sites for updates and information.
I posted the comments to which you replied. I did so of my own accord and unsolicited by any other person.
I do not know "Jo" but in view of the comments made in resonse to my posting, I would like to apologise to her for any embarrassment this may have caused her.
Your 61 years old, live in Australia, you KNOW Dr. Schlanger and "checked" him out, and though you check out adhesion sites, you don't know Jo. But you know Schlanger. How did you check him out? (From Australia no less, when we can't even secure an email address for him, not IHRT, but previous patients of his!)
And how do you know he has done nothing "wrong?" All we are doing is asking for answers to comments he made that are not possible to have done as he claims. Can you tell us what it is you think he did that was "wrong," or what it is you think we are accusing him of doing that was "wrong?" I am curious as to your comment here.

You state you suffer from adhesions, yet you seems to be stating that questioning a surgeons comments that have proven to be false and could lure innocent, uninformed persons into his clutches, is "wrong?" You don't care that he is doing such stuff? Of course you don't care, YOUR IN AUSTRALIA! Your "uninformed about this guy" and the issues and in no position to even comment about Schlanger let alone accuse another for commenting about him, and my comments are based on fact no less! You should be ashamed of yourself for wanting to allow such behaviors from a surgeon that could harm your fellow ARD sufferer! Or are YOU all for "self" like your fellow Australian, Jo! Then again, your not here in the USA, so why care right?
You say you visit ARD web sites and do not know Jo? I can believe this as Jo, who lives in Australia, has dumped her countrymen by ignoring the ARD needs in Australia and instead focuses on her own needs.

Jo, you have to do better then this if you want to use factitious people in your attempts to draw pity on yourself Your behaviors over the past three years are so dispicable that even in the light of claims of "innocence" you would be assumed guilty! When one cry's "wolf" to often,in the end no one listens!
May I also state that if you find Dr. Schlanger the most intelligent surgeon you know, then maybe you should go to www.adhesionrelateddisorder.com and check out the excellent surgeons in Australia, and know that the very successful adhesion barrier "SprayGel" is available there as well. Jo has secured massive imrovements in her health due to the use of Spraygel, and your not aware of that this is available to you as well! This is a shame that there is an ARD support group right in your country, and you are not even aware of it! This confirms what I have been saying...the founder of bombobeach is doing nothing for the suffering people in her own country but instead focuses on her own needs.

61 is not to old to secure a high quality procedure that might give you a higher quality of life, why spend time cruising ARD web sites, call Dr. Vancallie!

I think you need a psychologist rather than a medical doctor bev. Paranoia is something that can be dealt with using therapy and possibly medication. With treatment you might recover enough to know fantasy from reality
Hey guys, why are you all " flaming" each other here? As far as most people are concerned there is nothing wrong with asking for funds to support a website?
This should be up to the descretion of the site visitor eg: if there is a donation link on a site: and i don't want to pay, then i don't. Sometimes i do if I have experienced a valuable piece of information or whatever. it is up to ME and that is what makes ME feel FREEDOM.
Stop "FLAMING" each other enjoy your life. Do people moderate this site? i would take this info off it ruins the atmosphere and sadens the site atmosphere..

If you actually read the contents of the website you would see that is where the flaming starts. This discussion has nothing to do with donations. It has to do with this website flaming any doctor or person that they may not agree with. Ladies if you want to help women with adhesions do you really think that your insane flaming of doctors and anyone else you don't agree with will help that? Please get some psychological help.

Hey I'm Leanne and I'm 22 yrs old...I have recently been diagnosed with A.R.D - previously i was told i had Endometriosis and also Pelvic Inflammatory Disease. I had a laborotomy 2 yrs ago - they discovered all my organs are fused together in dense adhesions, to separate my organs will kill me..my doctor told me he would be surprised if i lived till 45 the adhesions are that dense.
Sum1 please inform where i should go for in depth information about A.R.D - i need to know how i got like this..is it my fault..did i do sumthin wrong?...was it cos i had borderline smears?...i don't wanna die..not at 45.
i have been deemed unable to work which is soul destroying..all i do all day is sit in my room, surfing the net, or takin pictures of my glamour model friends.
