Posted Monday, May 22, 2006 @ 05:47 PM Dr. K,
I have been talking with our insurance provider and they told me that if I could find anyone using the abdolift or anything closely related and if SprayGel is being used anywhere in the US (including clinical trials) then they would pay for the surgery. Are you aware of any surgeon in the US that uses a mechanical device instead of insuffiliation with gas? I know Dr. Reich helps you in Germany but does he use the abdolift at all? Also, they said if you do surgeries in Panama they would also pay for it there. Are there any plans on setting up an office in Panama for the US patients? The people I am in contact with my health insurance are very interested in your studies and results so maybe I could give them your e-mail address so they can communicate with you directly? Most importantly though is to find someone in the US that uses the Abdolift or something comparable and then hook them up with the SprayGel trials so that my wife can realise that there is life outside of adhesions. Thanks for any and all info you can give me.

Posted Tuesday, May 23, 2006 @ 04:05 PM I am sorry, ther is no AbdoLift surgery oin US. Bute previoisly the FDA approved surgery with LaparoLift from POrigin and that's the same technique (they had only bad vision, thats why it disappered from the market 1995). Anwyay, you have to tell this to your in surance.
We are planing surgery in Cayman Iskand, but its a hard way, its still much more expensive than our surgical cost here, so it takes time. But meanwhile MANY of US insurances accept our bills and reimburse surgeries for US patients. YOu need to ask. Regards
